SnapPartner and My Friend Ravi

Some of the best ideas for SnapLedger arrive over a cup of tea. My friend Ravijeet Singh, who runs Venus Business Solutions in Dubai, has long dreamed of a marketplace connecting customers with trusted professionals. That idea is reshaping SnapPartner: a directory where freelancers and SMEs can find accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and lawyers near them, and securely share their SnapLedger data so a real human can review, certify, and sign off on the work.

My friend Ravijeet Singh is a tall, enthusiastic, and very charming person from India.

Some of my favorite ideas for SnapLedger don't come from a whiteboard. They come from an afternoon conversation over a cup of tea.

An afternoon at Ravi's office

I was first introduced to Ravi by my partner Alex, through his engagement with the local BNI network. (I'm going to write more about BNI, and the interesting people I've met through it, in future posts.)

I went to his office in the middle of the day, and I immediately felt the warm, welcoming atmosphere that filled the room. Everybody was so friendly, and I was served a nice cup of local milk tea before Ravi came in.

He arrived a little later from outside, dressed casually in sportswear. I guess that's how he usually dresses during the day, as I had always seen him in formal attire with his turban.

Twenty years in Dubai

Ravi and his family have lived in Dubai for more than twenty years. He now runs Venus Business Solutions, providing accounting and legal services to his clients.

It was a very pleasant afternoon. We talked about many things, including how AI is changing the world, and brainstormed ways we could work together.

The idea that's reshaping SnapPartner

One of the ideas Ravi shared is profoundly reshaping SnapPartner.

Ravi has always wanted to build a marketplace that connects customers with professional service providers, but he simply hasn't had the time to do it. He would love to see this become part of SnapLedger, as it perfectly complements what SnapLedger can already do for freelancers and SMEs.

And yes, it does complement SnapLedger.

Why a human still belongs in the loop

As AI frees freelancers and SMEs from most of their administrative work, we have never aimed to let AI completely replace humans.

There should always be a human in the loop to make the final judgment and drive the necessary actions from there.

We still need real professionals to close the monthly books, file tax returns, sign off on audit packages, provide legal opinions, and represent the true interests of their clients.

AI can prepare much of the detailed work, and freelancers and SMEs can increasingly do things themselves with the help of SnapLedger. But they can also choose to rely on professional services for the final review, and the peace of mind that comes with expert judgment.

What the new SnapPartner becomes

This is what the new SnapPartner will become: a way to complete the ecosystem by bridging freelancers and SMEs with trusted professional service providers.

Before logging in, you can browse a comprehensive directory of professional services near you on our partner webpage and contact them directly via their listed WhatsApp or email.

More importantly, once you're logged in, you can securely share your SnapLedger data, and decide exactly what you want to share, with your preferred SnapPartner. That lets them review your work, certify your filings, represent you when needed, or provide higher-level advisory and management services on your behalf.

We're just getting started.

If you're a freelancer or SME owner looking for trusted accountants, tax advisors, auditors, lawyers, or other business professionals, we'd love to help you find the right people.

SnapLedger. Your Life Easier.

Today's Insight

AI can prepare the work, but a human should still make the final call. The goal was never to replace professionals — it's to connect people to the right ones.

Open Question

When it comes to your books, your taxes, or your legal filings, where do you most want a trusted human to sign off?

The best ideas for SnapLedger keep arriving the same way — over a cup of tea, from a friend who sees what we're building and says, 'here's how it could be even better.'
