SnapLedger is designed for individuals, businesses, and the professionals who support them.

When creating an account, the first decision is to choose how you will use the platform: Individual, Business, or Partner.

This initial choice helps Snappy understand who you are, what you are managing, and which tools and workflows should be prepared for you.

Individual

Choose Individual when you want Snappy to help manage financial matters that belong to you personally. This may include your income, expenses, assets, financial documents, tax obligations, and other personal compliance requirements.

Individual users who also work independently can activate the Freelancer service inside their existing account. Freelancer is not a separate account type during onboarding — you can try the service first and subscribe when you are ready.

Once activated, it can help you manage client invoices, freelance income, deductible expenses, tax thresholds, filing deadlines, and the other compliance responsibilities created by self-employment.

Business

Choose Business when you are creating an account for a registered company or another separate business entity. Each company should normally have its own Business account so that its transactions, documents, tax obligations, financial statements, and operating activities remain properly separated.

When subscribing, Business users can choose the plan that best matches how their company operates:

  • Business Lite is designed for businesses that mainly need essential accounting, financial records, and compliance support.
  • Business Standard supports businesses with broader operational and collaboration requirements.
  • Business Premium is intended for companies that want SnapLedger to become a more complete business operating system, including advanced tools such as Super Snappy and its configurable AI business roles.

A company can begin with the most appropriate plan and change as its needs develop.

Partner

Choose Partner when you are a professional or organization that uses SnapLedger to support clients, rather than only managing your own finances or business.

During onboarding, Partner users select the Partner type that best represents the services they provide and how they intend to work with clients through SnapLedger. This allows the platform to prepare the appropriate client-management, collaboration, and professional workflows from the beginning.

You may need more than one

These user types are not necessarily exclusive.

You may have an Individual account for your personal finances, activate the Freelancer service for independent work, create separate Business accounts for the companies you own, and also join as a Partner if you provide professional services to other SnapLedger users.

The important principle is that each identity and legal entity should be represented correctly.

Choosing the right starting point gives Snappy the foundation it needs to provide relevant tools, apply the correct rules, and become more useful as you continue using SnapLedger.

Today's Insight

The first screen of onboarding is not paperwork — it is context. Telling SnapLedger whether you are an Individual, a Business, or a Partner is what lets Snappy prepare the right tools, apply the right rules, and keep each identity and legal entity cleanly separated.

Open Question

How many of your financial lives — personal, freelance, one or more companies, and the clients you serve — are currently tangled together in a single set of books that was never designed to tell them apart?

The important principle is simple: each identity and legal entity should be represented correctly. Get the starting point right, and everything Snappy does afterward rests on solid ground.
