I should have written about my friend Misch Mayet earlier. He has been a long-time part-time contributor to the team — a freelancer, and a Freelancer user of SnapLedger — working closely with Alex on our digital marketing and helping shape the earliest design of our Freelancer functions. He was the first to suggest we coach new users step by step after onboarding, an idea that became the Meet Snappy pop-up experience.

Misch has been a part-time contributor to the team for a long time. As a freelancer — and also a Freelancer user of SnapLedger — he has worked closely with Alex on our digital marketing strategy, producing a lot of great content for SnapLedger and contributing to the earliest design of our Freelancer-related functions. From time to time, I join the discussions between Alex and him online.
I have always enjoyed working with Misch. He brings a positive attitude and a strong can-do spirit. More importantly, he is never shy about sharing his opinions on where SnapLedger could be improved.
The idea that became Meet Snappy
Misch was the first person to suggest that we should provide better post-onboarding guidance for new users — something like a pop-up experience that could coach users step by step as they become familiar with the SnapLedger environment.
As you may already have noticed, SnapLedger offers many possibilities through Snappy and our growing collection of practical tools. Misch's proposal was later developed into the current Meet Snappy pop-up experience, which has been well received by many of our new users.
From South Africa to Fujairah
Misch was born and educated in South Africa. Before moving to the UAE, he worked as an Art Director at DFYNT Aesthetics & Marketing. After his wife received a great opportunity in Fujairah, he moved with her and became a freelancer, helping different clients design all kinds of things.
