One Login, Many Profiles

My friend Swati Arora, a successful Dubai entrepreneur, reminded me that for most founders personal and business finance aren't separate worlds. One person may run several companies, join a partnership, and help operate someone else's business — yet most software makes each a separate account with its own login. SnapLedger's new unified profile treats the login as the person: one secure identity connecting an Individual profile, multiple Business profiles, and Partner profiles.

Recently, I was speaking with my local friend Swati Arora, a highly successful businesswoman here in Dubai. I will write more about her story in a separate Founder Diary, but one point from our conversation stayed with me.

One person, many roles

For many entrepreneurs, personal finance and business finance do not exist in completely separate worlds.

The same person may need to manage personal finances, operate several companies, participate in a partnership, and occasionally access another business as a team member. Yet most financial software still treats each of these relationships as a separate account, often requiring different email addresses, passwords, or login pages.

One login, many profiles

We decided that SnapLedger should work differently.

With our new unified profile design, one login can connect you to multiple profiles: one individual profile, multiple business profiles, and partner profiles when needed.

SnapLedger now treats the login as the person, while each profile represents a different financial or professional role.

Switching without signing out

After signing in, users with only one profile enter it directly. Users with several profiles can choose the one they want to manage, clearly grouped as Individual, Business, or Partner. They can also switch profiles at any time without signing out.

This creates a much simpler experience. You can manage your personal finances, move into the books of one company, switch to another business, or access a company where you have been invited as an operator — all from the same login.

Each profile stays independent

Each profile remains independent. It has its own financial records, documents, settings, subscription, compliance responsibilities, and team access. Switching profiles changes the context completely, so users always know which person, business, or partnership they are acting for.

Inviting your team, safely

Business owners can also invite team members without sharing passwords. Each person uses their own login, and the owner decides what they can access, such as dashboards, uploads, documents, calendars, or specific groups of tools.

Built around how entrepreneurs actually live

The goal is not simply to make login easier. It is to reflect how entrepreneurs actually live and work. One person can carry several identities and responsibilities, but should not need several disconnected systems to manage them.

Swati's experience helped reinforce this need for a combined view. As SnapLedger continues to evolve, I believe this unified profile model will become an important foundation.

One secure identity, many financial worlds, and an easy way to move between them.

Today's Insight

SnapLedger now treats your login as the person, not the account. One secure identity connects your Individual, Business, and Partner profiles — each fully independent — and you switch between them without ever signing out.

Open Question

How many separate logins do you juggle today just to move between your personal finances and the businesses you run or help operate?

One person can carry several identities and responsibilities — but shouldn't need several disconnected systems to manage them. One secure identity, many financial worlds, and an easy way to move between them.
