Close the month, see the business

Back to where this course began: results that arrive once a year. When the books keep up all month, closing it takes minutes — and the numbers are there while they still matter. In this lesson, Dunewood closes the job, locks last month, and reads its results.
What you'll learn
- Close a job when nothing is left unpaid
- Lock the month
- Read each company's results, every month
Step by step
- The last payments — Qamar Bay pays the balance to the showroom, and the showroom pays the workshop its share. Each transfer finds its invoice in its own company's books.
- Close the job — On the job, nothing is left unsettled, so Zuhair closes it. The Closing card agrees: nothing is left unsettled. The project keeps everything: the requirement, the design, the quote, the papers and the money.
- Lock the month — Then last month's books. Every bank line in them is explained, so there's nothing left to reconcile. Lina locks it. Its numbers are final now — a locked month can't drift.
- Each company's month — And here's the payoff. Each company's dashboard shows where it stands, and what it earned this month: the revenue, the cost of what was sold, the gross profit — checked to balance. The workshop's result, and the showroom's margin. Every month, not in December.
- The job's result — And for every job, what it earned against what it cost. That was the question nobody could answer at the start of this course.
That's the whole business on one system: customers answered, jobs designed, priced and invoiced from one place, materials bought once and received with the tool, every cost charged to its job, both companies' books in step, and the month closed while it still matters. Each person runs their part — so the business can grow past any one of them. Start your free trial at snap-ledger.ai, and see your business every month.
