UAE e-invoicing on SnapLedger · Lesson 5 of 7
Suppliers’ bills arrive already read
1:22 · Captions: English, Arabic, French and Chinese.
An e-invoice from a supplier is data, not a picture: nothing to scan, nothing to type. But old habits don't stop at once. The supplier still e-mails the PDF, and the same bill can land in your books twice. In this lesson, both problems go away.
What you'll learn
- Find your suppliers' e-invoices in the Invoice Center
- Add a new supplier from the e-invoice itself
- Let SnapLedger catch the same bill twice
Step by step
- It arrives — Corewell Hardware has e-invoiced Dunewood for door handles and hinges. It came through the network, straight into Dunewood's books, already read.
- A new supplier — Corewell isn't in the Supplier Book yet. One press adds it, with the name, the TRN and its network address taken from the e-invoice itself.
- Booked — Lina picks the expense category and confirms. It's in the books, and when Dunewood pays, the bank line will find it.
- The same bill twice — Then Meridian Board Supplies e-invoices the boards. But Meridian had already e-mailed the PDF, and it's in My Vault. SnapLedger sees the same supplier, the same date and the same total, and marks that copy as the duplicate.
- Booked once — Lina checks it's the same bill, and that's it: one bill, booked once. Bills that arrive read, and booked once.
Next: the records, and the day the network is down.
