Fitting, collection and the balance

1:34 · Captions: English, Arabic, French and Chinese.

In the festival rush, the dates are what customers remember. A fitting forgotten, a collection day missed, and they find out at the counter. In this lesson, Mr Mehta's order keeps its promises, and the balance is ready when he is.

What you'll learn

  • Keep the order's dates in view on its timeline
  • Mark the garments ready and move the order to collection
  • Invoice the balance from the same quotation

Step by step

  1. The fitting — Mr Mehta comes back for his fitting, on the day the order promised. A few small adjustments, and nothing on his order is late.
  2. Garments ready — When the tailors finish, Zuhair marks the garments complete, so the order shows it's ready, at the counter and for Sanjay, wherever he is.
  3. Collection — He collects his clothes, and the order moves on to its last step.
  4. The balance invoice — At collection, the same quotation becomes the balance invoice. The customer, the bank and the terms come across from it. Zuhair swaps the garment lines for one: the balance at collection, the other half, with its VAT. He issues it, and the quotation now shows it has been invoiced twice: the deposit, and the balance.
  5. What's still due — He pays by bank transfer from his phone. Until it arrives, the order shows exactly what's still due.

Next: a walk-in, and a piece off the rail.
