Your team on SnapLedger · Lesson 3 of 8
A new hire, onboarded from his papers
1:24 · Captions: English, Arabic, French and Chinese.
Taking someone on usually means typing the same details from the Emirates ID and the contract into three different places. In this lesson, Zuhair joins the workshop — and his papers do the typing.
What you'll learn
- Add a new employee from their ID and contract
- Check pay and bank details
- Invite them to SnapLedger
Step by step
- A new record — Zuhair starts on the first of October as the workshop's project manager. Lina begins his record.
- His papers — She adds his Emirates ID and his employment contract. SnapLedger reads them both.
- His details — His name, nationality, job and start date are already filled in, straight from the papers. Lina only adds the e-mail his invitation will go to.
- His pay — His pay comes from the contract: the basic salary and each allowance. Lina chooses where his salary sits in the accounts — with the cost of running the jobs.
- Bank and WPS — For WPS, his IBAN: SnapLedger checks it as she types and names his bank. And his Ministry person number, from the labour card.
- Saved and invited — One check of everything, and he's saved. Zuhair is on the team, and an invitation is on its way to him.
A new hire, on file in minutes — from the papers he brought. Next: the employee's side.
