Payroll day on WPS
1:13 · Captions: English, Arabic, French and Chinese.
On payroll day, the salary file is often rebuilt by hand — and one wrong bank code sends the whole file back. In this lesson, Lina runs September for the workshop in one go.
What you'll learn
- Run a month's payroll
- Get every payslip at once
- Make the WPS file for your bank
Step by step
- September — The Salary Tool, on September: everyone who worked that month is on the payroll.
- This month's figures — Each row is one person: basic pay and allowances from their record. Joseph worked extra hours this month, so Lina adds his overtime, and his total follows.
- Run payroll — She runs the payroll. Every payslip is made at once and filed in My Vault, and each salary is booked in the accounts.
- The WPS file — Because the workshop pays through WPS, SnapLedger also makes the salary file — every employee, their bank, their pay — ready to upload to the bank's WPS portal.
- A payslip — To check one, Lina opens My Vault.
Joseph's payslip: his overtime is on it, and the net pay matches the run. Payslips, the WPS file and the books — from one press. Next: payroll in a free zone.
