Running a corporate service provider on SnapLedger · Lesson 1 of 10

One login, two profiles

Built the traditional way, the machine takes years. On SnapLedger, it starts today, with one login that holds both sides of your business: a profile for your own company, and a Partner profile for your clients. In this lesson, we set up both.

What you'll learn

  • Set up your firm's company profile
  • Add a Partner profile under the same login
  • Move between them with Switch Profile

Step by step

  1. Sign in — Amira signs in for the first time, and SnapLedger asks how she'll use it. Her firm is a company, so she chooses Business, picks the United Arab Emirates, and agrees to the terms.
  2. Company profile — Next, the company's details, step by step: the trade licence, the tax certificates, and what the business does. One date matters most: the accounting start date, which we call D Day. SnapLedger keeps the books from that day on, and anything before it becomes the opening balances. And this is Harbour Gate's dashboard.
  3. Partner profile — Now the Partner profile. In the account menu, Switch Profile lists every profile this login can open. Amira chooses Create Profile, and this time picks Partner — the profile for firms that serve SnapLedger customers. Five short steps: where the practice is based, its website, which can wait, the business licence, and the services it offers — Accounting and bookkeeping first, then Company formation and business setup. She adds a contact email, confirms the details, and chooses Submit for review.
  4. Partner Portal — The SnapLedger team checks every new partner. Once Harbour Gate is approved, the Partner Portal opens — and this card, Managed clients, is where its clients will live.
  5. Switch Profile — Open Switch Profile again: one login, two profiles. Harbour Gate the company, for the firm's own books — and Harbour Gate the partner, for its clients.

Next: Amira gives her accountant his own login, and decides exactly what he can see.
