Snappy PM: run a client engagement
2:02 · Captions: English, Arabic, French and Chinese.
No more jobs lost in chat groups and spreadsheets. In Snappy PM, every engagement is a project, from the client's first request to the last payment. In this lesson, Amira opens a project for a new client: Qamar Bay Logistics, who want a mainland company set up in Dubai.
What you'll learn
- Add a project for a new client
- Capture what the client asked for
- Keep their papers and the plan in one place
Step by step
- New project — Under Tools, in the Work Space, Amira opens Snappy PM. She chooses Add Project. Qamar Bay isn't a customer yet, so she adds them right here — the name and the country — and says what the work is: a mainland LLC set-up. Start the project, and it gets its own project number.
- The Board — This is the project's Board. It shows the phase the work is in — Requirement Capturing — and its gate: the checklist for moving on. The customer is already there; the requirement comes next. Each later phase gets its own card when the work reaches it.
- Requirement — First, what the client asked for. With Add requirement line, Amira lists it: the trade licence, two investor visas, a corporate bank account. She saves the requirement, the gate ticks it off, and everyone on the project works from the same list.
- Client's papers — The client's papers go into Storage, where the project has a folder for each phase. Into Requirement go the initial approval, the investors' passports, the draft memorandum and the tenancy contract — so nothing lives in someone's inbox.
- Timeline — On the Timeline, she plans the work: two tasks with their dates, and a milestone for the licence.
Gantt shows the whole engagement at a glance: the five phases, and her plan beneath them. Next: Amira quotes Qamar Bay for the work, and turns the quote into an invoice.
